Gary Valenciano was arrested and detained by authorities at the Doha airport for four hours for travelling without a passport.
According to Angeli Valenciano, Gary's wife, Gary only found out that his passport was missing when he was about to board a plane bound for Qatar.
Here is the statement of Angeli:
“Gary was detained for 4 hours at Qatar airport because his passport was lost or stolen between the Qatar Airways gate in Dubai and the plane, Friday at 12:30 noon.
He was released due to his being UNICEF ambassador. He did back-to-back concerts in Dubai and Qatar, Thursday and Friday. Over three thousand went to Dubai while six thousand tickets were sold in Qatar. Next stop, Oman, December 4 and Bahrain, December 5."
